This one trades adrenaline for context. You ride out in an open safari truck through sugar cane country toward Higüey, the oldest inland town in the region.

The stops are the point: a cigar workshop where you roll your own, a farm with cacao, coffee and tropical fruit to taste, a local school, and a family home where you get to ask the questions the brochures never answer.

You also pass the Basílica de Higüey, the most visited church in the country, before heading back to the coast.

Guests staying in Cap Cana meet us at the Cap Cana Information Center, next to the main security gate. At most hotels we pick you up at the security gate, not the lobby.

Staying in an Airbnb or a residential area? Walk to the nearest hotel gate or to one of our meeting points and we will take it from there. You can also drive straight to the ranch if you prefer.

You receive your exact pickup time and spot the night before. Pickup usually happens one hour before your tour, up to an hour and a half in high season or for hotels farther out.

Please be at your pickup point ten minutes early. The driver calls your name three times; if nobody answers it counts as a no-show, which is non-refundable and cannot be rescheduled.
