The ride starts at a ranch near Macao, where the team pairs you with a horse based on your size and how much riding you have actually done. If the honest answer is none, that is the usual answer.

After a short lesson you head out on shaded trails through farmland and palm groves, at a walking pace, with a guide riding beside the group the whole way.

The last stretch opens onto Macao Beach. You ride along the water, stop for photos, and then come back to the ranch for fruit and cold water before the drive home.

Guests staying in Cap Cana meet us at the Cap Cana Information Center, next to the main security gate. At most hotels we pick you up at the security gate, not the lobby.

Staying in an Airbnb or a residential area? Walk to the nearest hotel gate or to one of our meeting points and we will take it from there. You can also drive straight to the ranch if you prefer.

You receive your exact pickup time and spot the night before. Pickup usually happens one hour before your tour, up to an hour and a half in high season or for hotels farther out.

Please be at your pickup point ten minutes early. The driver calls your name three times; if nobody answers it counts as a no-show, which is non-refundable and cannot be rescheduled.
